yipyippyyip [21 Mar 2007|07:32pm] this is a record of what i am currently doing in my life. i am 24 years old. i am living with my boyfriend corey who is a tattoo apprentice and an all around weird character. i am in love... we have been dating for over 10 months now. i am living in a shitwicked apartment above a tattoo shop and get mad discounts... obviously i am working on a sleeve <3. i am fortunate to have amazing friends that live in my city like bill cote, but my bestfriend jen lives in ottawa, whom i miss very much. i am a cashier at wal*mart... please never visit me there as it is the devil. i am having guests this weekend, corey's two bestfriends are coming up from sudbury to camp out in our livingroom... i am a worrywart that worries far too much. i am money-stressed, but otherwise very happy. i am manatron. i am going to bed now. sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. xo. 2 will become One|chant

[07 Mar 2007|12:18pm] i am the worst person at holding down a job lately. i'm just so sick of cooking professionally - i wish i still worked in a record store. wtf is up with over half the population of sault ste. marie lately? last night the boy & i had bill&sarah over for dinner & boardgames. love, love, love. the apartment is a haven right now and i hardly ever want to leave it. can't wait till summertime when the weather's fine... just breathe. xo. ps: jEn... <3. 8 will become One|chant

moving to the country, gonna eat a lot of peaches [26 Feb 2007|11:12am] today should be a busy day, to keep going from a busy weekend. i have to catch a bus up to the cambrian mall so i can drop a resume off somewhere, get some packing tape from canadian tire and drop off a game i rented at rogers. then, i have to go to romes grocers and get some food for the next few days and come back here to keep packing. last night/yesterday corey & i packed a bunch and moved some stuff into the apartment. we also finished painting the bedroom this intense hot pink and the bathroom this sky blue. we picked out a bright grassy green for the kitchen and a tangerine orange (on two long walls) & bright yellow (on the two short walls) for the living room. since we're done the ceilings already we only have to do those walls with two coats & we're done. i think his dad is coming over to help us once we have that paint in our hands... c'mon landlord, drop it off already! all the trim & doors are white, same with the window boxes, light switches ect. it's pretty. we also have hardwood floors (the real deal!) in every room except the bathroom which has the most godawful ugly tile i've ever seen in my life... something has to be done with that, i need to check out options! it's exciting to move into your own place where you're not sharing it with anyone else except your other half. i know that when i come home after work, it'll look relatively the same and there won't be headaches with messy roommates. not to say that this place was like that, infact, living here on march was a breeze for these past two years... i'm just definitely ready to have my own space. i r excited. once everything is painted i'll post pics - i wish i could fast forward to the end of the week when we're all settled in and everything is fabulous! xo. 2 will become One|chant

[16 Feb 2007|05:23pm] i pretty much had the worst day of my career as a Chef today. i also fell apart which is ridiculously uncharacteristic of me and i went outside while i cried for about 5 minutes. i just ate the most delicious sandwhich i've ever had, am drinking Arizona Pomegranate Green Tea and i don't have to work all weekend. fucking amazing. hope you kids have had a better friday than mine... and ryan, i hope you feel better bro. vivà la fin de semaine. xo. ps: this is at least two or three years ago but still completely relevant... aviator... represent. 4 will become One|chant

Om [25 Jan 2007|10:38pm] yesterday i turned 24. it was a really great day. corey is the best boyfriend in the world. he paid for the first part of my buddha sleeve and shelayne did the outline... i had no idea it was going to happen and it was a complete surprise. i also got a brand new job at a new thai/indian influenced restaurant here called "five"... it fills me with incrediable joy as the food there is fantastic. i work steady lunches and have the weekends off. helloooo wonderful. anyway... here's my chubby arm with my new tattoo. ooOOoOo. she did buddha in a grey & the lotus in a green because she's going to be covering those lines with color once everything's healed. i am sooooo excited... sorry for the crappy quality of the pic though, the lines in real-life are so clear and the detail is fantastic! it's the length of the tip of my middle finger to the end of my palm in length. xo. 2 will become One|chant

roll on down the line [20 Jan 2007|02:43pm] so scratch almost everything i wrote in my last journal entry - pretty much everything has been turned upside down. due to major hours-shortage i'm no longer working at the music store and because of this, i had to cancel my birthday tattoo appointment... i just couldn't rationalize spending all that $ when i'm jobbless. (go responsible me) i still turn 24 on the 24th though, man - 4 days away, that's nuts! i know that corey took the day off of work so we could spend it together and he has plans up his sleeve, or so he says haha. i think lunch somewhere is planned and i know for dinner we're coming here to my parents place to eat, hang out with my family & play some bowling on the wii with bill. (rad) i have a week's worth of work coming up doing cashier-work for a travelling tool company that's setting up shop here on a cross canadian tour. now that is glamourous - i wonder if i'll get paid in nails? well kids... i gotta run and play some snes with my mom. she's definitely way cooler than yours. xo. 2 will become One|chant

first post in 2007 [06 Jan 2007|12:45pm] where to start... where to end? the new year has officially begun. so a few fun things that have recently come into my possession are as such... a new standup kitchenaide mixer and a fabulous copy of the wizard on dvd... a new ghetto blaster with pink speakers and having the opportunity to meet corey's super cool sister crystal who's here visiting from whitehorse. i've made it a goal for myself to take three decent trips this year. i'm going to be going to ottawa/montreal for at least one solid week, maybe more in late feb/early march... i plan on hitting up italy for 9 days in early june and the last trip is still in the air for whenever! if i'm going to stay in the sault and keep it as my homebase, i need to start leaving once in awhile and doing some of the things i want to do - see some of the places i want to see. it's a decent win-win situation. i still work in a music store and corey is still apprenticing at the tattoo parlour... speaking of that i have my tat appt on my birthday (january 24th) and i'm very excited for it! i talked to shelayne yesterday and we're finalizing the complete design over the next week - superrrrrrrrrr stoked am i. i also talked to ivan and he said he'd pierce both my conchs with 12g cbrs for $50 bucks total. what a deal! corey & i are still looking for a new place to call home, we hope to move either feb 1rst or march 1rst at the latest. it'll be really neat to have a place to call our own and i'm looking forward to it tremendously! there's a possibility of us moving in with our friends bill&sarah, but only if there's a house and only if we could afford it should they decide to leave and move back down south later on. i don't want to move somewhere and get stuck - then have to rely on someone else to come and live with us that we don't want. *frown* tonight i work from 5-midnight because we have to do inventory after the store closes... what fun! what excitement! what pure joy!! at least all the kids that work there (including our manager) are pretty rad people... no douchebags need apply. xo. chant
